6-10 Grill

I said I would start my countdown, but like all the best laid plans, it was derailed despite my best efforts. So let's take a break with Nasi Lemak Memories first.

I remember when 6-10 started, it was just a nasi lemak stall inside a kopitiam at PJ S17 back in 1998 or so. It wasn't even called 6-10. However business boomed and they opened their own Western + Nasi Lemak eatery right next to the kopitiam where it originated. I actually wondered what's the connection between nasi lemak and western food, but who cares as long as the food is great!

It was one of the really rare places where I couldn't decide what to order. The nasi lemak or the pork chop? Nasi Lemak or pork chop? Nasi Lemak or PORK CHOP?

Although the nasi lemak is superb, the price is also jaw dropping. 2 side dishes can easily fetch >RM10.00. Additional topping is RM6.00 per topping. That is like Aunty Kwan price range for a nasi lemak.

Depending on how many side dishes you order, the nasi lemak can be more expensive than the pork chop. Unfortunately the pork chop quality keep dropping and I have changed my preference to Bacon and Egg though I didn't eat it on the last round I was there. Was suppose to be on a diet for sister's wedding.

Mum ordered the lamb chop and she said was delicious. I looked at it and feel my nose blood coming out. That's a lot of lamb on that plate. I suspect the volume of lamb plays a part in the delicious rating.

Eating at 6-10 always gives me good memories. It was kinda sad that it moved to Kelana Jaya which is really far from my place now. Hope I can have one more round at it before I go off.
